Journal of Experimental Mechanics (ISSN 1001-4888 / CN 34-1057/O3；CODEN SHLOEQ) is a comprehensive, academic journal jointly sponsored by Chinese Society of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics and University of Science & Technology of China, and governed by China Association for Science and Technology. The journal was founded in 1986 and is now published and distributed bimonthly both domestically and internationally.
The aim of this journal is to reflect the latest research achievements and developments in relevant fields achieved by research institutes, universities, and engineering technology agencies in China, and to report the progress and role of experimental mechanics solving problems in engineering design and technology. The journal mainly publishes papers about innovative theory, experiment, and engineering application research. It also publishes reviews, research briefs, teaching experience, and reports on the development and application of testing instruments in relevant fields.
The journal is included in the Source Journal for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data and CQVIP. The journal is also one of the Chinese Core Journals in mechanics.
